BUILDING THROUGH INNOVATION

PSBI provides a full complement of construction services to meet every client’s needs. We provide General Contractor, Construction Management, Design-Build and Pre-Engineered Building Systems services.

We perform under multiple contract types and delivery methods depending on our clients’ requirements and preferences, including lump sum, Guaranteed Maximum Price or negotiated fee. Moreover, we provide a level of service and expertise that goes far beyond that of traditional construction companies.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR (GC)

In this traditional delivery system, the owner engages the design team (A-E) to prepare the design of the complete facility, including all design documents and specifications. Upon completion of the design, the Owner solicits “Lump Sum” bids from general contractors. Once selected by the Owner, the General Contractor will contract direct with subcontractors or self-perform the construction phase of the project. Selection of a General Contractor is typically based upon “Low Bid”. View our general-contracting projects

DESIGN-BUILD (DB)

Regarded as one of the oldest forms of construction delivery methods, Design Build is where the design and construction services are contracted by a single entity, this entity is commonly referred to as the Design Builder or Design Build Contractor. Design Build provides for a single point of contact and responsibility for the entire project. Design Build enhances the opportunity for improved coordination between designers and constructors, provides more efficient and constructible designs, economies of time and cost, early Guaranteed Maximum Price development, and a greater overall team approach. During the construction phase, the DB assumes the risk for construction performance as the equivalent of a general contractor holding all trade subcontracts during the construction phase. Selection of the Design-Builder is typically based upon the Design-Builders prior experience and ability to execute. View our design build projects

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK (CMAR)

Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) is the process in which the Construction Manager acts as a consultant and program manager to the owner during the design and permitting phase. They also provide preconstruction phase services which may include project evaluation, preliminary budgeting, design & constructability analysis, value engineering, preparation of bid packages, scheduling, phasing & cost control implementation and Guaranteed Maximum Price development. During the construction phase, the CMAR assumes the risk for construction performance as the equivalent of a general contractor holding all trade subcontracts during the construction phase. Selection of the CMAR is typically based upon the CMAR’s prior experience and ability to execute. View our construction management projects

PRE-ENGINEERED BUILDING SYSTEMS (PE)

The Pre-Engineered Building System is widely used to construct virtually every type of building classification available. It is designed and engineered specifically for every project. The system consists of steel frames and components designed to be assembled together in a wide variety of combinations to meet numerous specific uses. The system can stand alone with metal wall and roof panels or can be combined with other traditional claddings and assemblies to form any look or function required. The advantages of utilizing Pre-Engineered Building Systems include: reduced cost compared to traditional structural steel, reduced schedule, ease of future expansion, wide span and multiple story capabilities.
